Avianca in Brazil paints "Monica" plane for children

SAO PAULO, November 12, 2015 - Avianca Brazil has painted one of its aircraft to depict popular comic characters from Turma da Monica (Monica's Gang), as part of a campaign to celebrate the 80th birthday of the creator of Monica, Mauricio de Sousa and timed to coincide with Children's Day In Brazil.

The "Monica" plane, an Airbus A320, is decorated in a way that implies that Monica, Maggy, Jimmy Five, Smudge and Bidu, among other friends from the gang, are on board. Mauricio appears as pilot of the Group.

The inside of the plane has also been given a whole new “Monica" look, including the service trolleys, mirrors, doors, bathrooms, tables and headcovers on every seat. Passengers on-board were presented with comic books and could watch episodes of Monica on their inflight entertainment systems.
