Copa Airlines among 2016 young people’s dream companies in Panama

PANAMA, April 14 - Copa Airlines has come near the top in a poll in Panama to determine the 2016 Young People's Dream Companies Ranking. This year, Copa Airlines came 2nd in the survey ranking, conducted by Cia de Talentos in partnership with Nextview People to find young people's "dream companies" in Panama. The survey, now in its 15th edition, consulted more than 1,400 young people in Panama, aged from 17 to 26, mainly students.

To try to reduce the distance between what young people desire and what organizations offer, the study provides relevant content about what Panama's young people think about companies, leadership, the job market and careers.

For Copa Airlines, this recognition means an achievement for all employees of their company who have become spreaders of their values as a World Class Airline, showing that they are the best professionals not only within the Company, but beyond. It also represents a challenge to evolve with the new generations who are entering the job market. Mr. Dan Gunn, Senior Vice-President of Operations and Mr. José Montero, Chief Financial Officer of Copa Holdings SA. received a trophy from Esteban Morín, Latin America General Manager of Cia de Talentos.

According to the survey, young people say that in order to attract them, an organization should offer an environment that promotes professional development along with directors that fulfill their role as leaders.

Recently, a similar recognition was given to Air Canada as one of "Montreal's Top Employers" because of their exceptional human resources program and forward-thinking workplace policies. See complete story here.
