Debris from flight MS804 found off Egypt's coast

The Egyptian Armed Forces have informed our member airline EGYPTAIR that they have found first debris from the missing aircraft operating flight MS804, around 290 kilometres from the Egyptian coastline. Radar contact to the Airbus A320 was lost above the Mediterranean Sea about 280 kilometres from the coast of Egypt at 02:30 am Cairo local time on 19 May. Flight MS 804 carrying 56 passengers and 10 crew had departed Paris Charles-de-Gaulle Airport on the evening of 18 May and was due to arrive at Cairo Airport at 03:15 am local time.

The search in the area continues and further updates will be issued by EGYPTAIR as more information becomes available.
