THAI launches new interactive website

BANGKOK, Thailand, Sept 4 - Thai Airways has launched a new interactive website, with the tagline “Your Travel Buddy". The site provides travel-related information to passengers, complementing THAI's main website

The social media website consists of four content areas: news and promotions, travel, lifestyle, and events, as well as other content areas such as postcards, blogs, Sawasdee magazine, and inflight duty free brochure. It can be viewed in English and Thai, and is easy to access on all devices through Cloud Computing technology with up to 17 servers worldwide.

Passengers can get the latest information on THAI promotions and learn more about travel destinations from blogs written by popular travel bloggers who recommend places for sightseeing, shopping, and restaurants.

THAI employees also play a role. THAI pilots and flight attendants can send in postcards from their journeys to destinations served by THAI. Customers can also share photos and recommendations from their travels by using the hashtag #socialthai in Instagram posts, which will appear on the new social media website.

The new site was launched at a press conference event in Bangkok.
