TAA adding fresh routes to Khon Kaen
Thai AirAsia (TAA) is moving strenuously to expand connections among regions in Thailand that go beyond traditional routes. The country's biggest low-cost carrier yesterday announced the launch of two routes, one linking Khon Kaen with Chiang Mai and the other Khon Kaen with Hat Yai, starting on April 28.
The news comes one month after TAA unveiled a plan to begin serving Chiang Rai and Johor Bahru in Malaysia from April 1. The fresh routes are consistent with TAA's strategy of creating secondary routes that other airlines have declined to initiate or embark upon. The plan is also in line with the carrier's development of multiple bases, which include Don Mueang, Phuket, Chiang Mai, Krabi, U-tapao and now Hat Yai.
