Qatar Airways will operate three flights carrying 300 tonnes of essential supplies to India to help as the country suffers devastating losses from a new wave of COVID-19. The airline intends to transport the aid from across its global network to Doha, Qatar from where it will then be flown in a three-flight cargo aircraft convoy directly to destinations in India where it is most desperately needed, as part of the airline's WeQare initiative. Qatar Airways' group CE Akbar Al Baker said Qatar has a long and special relationship with India. "As one of the world air cargo leaders, with an extensive international network, we stand ready to provide humanitarian support by transporting these much-needed supplies, and help the country fight back against this appalling virus," Al Baker said.<br/>
