Vietnamese pilot faces dismissal for being positive for ketamine

A local pilot of a Vietnamese airline has faced dismissal after he was found to be positive for ketamine, local media reported on Friday. The pilot who worked for Vietnam Airlines, the country's national flag carrier, tried to refuse a pre-flight drug test with his flight crew in late April this year and eventually had his rapid urine drug testing positive for ketamine, local newspaper Vietnam News reported, citing the airline spokesperson Dang Anh Tuan. He noted that health checks for pilots were conducted periodically and irregularly and all violations would be strictly handled.
