Etihad Airways Group raises another US$500m

Etihad Airways Group and its partner airlines have raised US$500m in fresh financing, which will be used for capital expenditure, fleet investments and refinancing. The aviation group kicked off its financing roadshow May 16. During a series of meetings in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, as well as investor calls with the London, Asian and European markets, Etihad explained its partner airline strategy. It launched the $500m transaction May 23, building on the $700m it secured in 2015. “With this second successful transaction, the international financial markets have continued to show their belief in the Etihad Airways Partners story,” Etihad Aviation Group president and CE James Hogan said. <br/>
