Etihad expands partner airline loyalty programme

Etihad Airways and several airlines it holds stakes in have further aligned their loyalty programmes, guaranteeing passengers the same benefits across eight carriers. The changes apply to loyalty schemes under Etihad Airways Partners, which covers frequently flyer programmes from Etihad, Air Berlin, Alitalia, Air Serbia, Air Seychelles, Etihad Regional, Jet Airways and Austrian carrier Niki. Passengers will now receive the same excess baggage allowance of 10 kilograms for silver members, 15 kilograms for gold members and 20 kilograms for platinum. On routes where weight is measured per piece of luggage, passengers will receive an additional 23-kilogram bag allowance in economy class and 32 kilogram in business class. Silver members will be able to use priority check in and gold and platinum members will be able to use priority check-in and priority boarding when flying with an Etihad Airways Partners airline irrespective of which member’s loyalty programme they belong to. <br/>
