Turkish selects Panasonic for IFEC system on A321neos & 737 MAXs

Turkish Airlines has chosen Panasonic Avionics to install its eX1 inflight entertainment and communications (IFEC) system on Turkish Airlines’ upcoming fleet of narrowbody aircraft. Turkish plans to install Panasonic’s IFEC systems on 92 Airbus A321neos, 65 Boeing 737 MAX 8s and 10 737 MAX 9s. As part of the contract, Turkish Airlines has the option to equip the last 45 aircraft with its own direct affiliate’s IFE system, pending line fit offerability. The eX1 system includes a passenger data integration capability, which allows the airline to recognise passengers’ travel preferences and recommend customised content, services and amenities. A customised “companion app” is also part of the package, which enables passengers to pair their mobile devices to the IFEC system for additional entertainment and communication options. <br/>
