Lufthansa to offer electronic reading options

Lufthansa has announced that it plans to introduce in-flight e-journals in lieu of printed materials. The carrier will offer reading selections covering topics such as sports, cars, and travel, as well as celebrity gossip, music, and food. Reading material will be available in 18 different languages. Passengers can access the library by going to the Lufthansa app and entering their booking code or ticket number. The selections will then be available in PDF format on passengers’ personal electronic devices. Lufthansa said that the switch to electronic reading material is more environmentally stable, as there will be far less printed material. The reduction in weight on-board the aircraft will also lead to a decrease in fuel consumption. <br/>
