American Airlines flight attendants to picket as uniform crisis appeal is filed

American Airlines flight attendants are preparing for informational picketing in 3 high-profile cities after a formal appeal of a denied presidential grievance was filed last Thursday. The presidential grievance— issued in late December by the Association of Professional Flight Attendants (APFA)— was tied to new uniforms believed to have caused symptomatic reactions among thousands of flight attendants. American Airlines management earlier this month denied APFA's presidential grievance that demanded a total recall of the new uniforms believed to be causing the reactions.
