American Airlines finds on-time groove in February as United Airlines falters
Once a laggard in the on-time arrival derby, American Airlines looks to have a newfound pep when it comes to getting planes to the gate on time. Though the carrier didn't finish February with the best on-time arrival record, AA was a very solid No. 2, with 84.3% of flights arriving on time, according to data released Tuesday by OAG. February marks the second month in a row that American Airlines has wound up in second place among the 4 largest domestic carriers. Like United Airlines, AA has had to contend with a number of vendor regional airlines that haven't always been at the top of their game in on-time arrivals. But AA appears to be getting better performance from that part of its flight operations, and it is starting to look like the carrier could give Delta Air Lines a run for the top spot. <br/>
