Hawaiian Airlines reports 4.2% passenger increase in April

Hawaiian Airlines transported a total of 904,048 passengers during the month of April, an increase of 4.2% compared to April 2016, according to its latest traffic statistics released Thursday. The carrier also saw an a slight uptick in load factor. Load factor last month was 85.3%, which is 2.2 percentage points more than last April. Hawaiian reported a 7.6% increase in traffic, in revenue passenger miles, compared with traffic in April 2016. Capacity also grew by 4.8%. Hawaiian has transported a total of 3.6m passengers so far this year. The figure represents a 2.7% boost over the comparable period last year. Load factor has also increased by 2.7 percentage points to 84.3% since the start of 2017. The airline's traffic and capacity grew by 7.3% and 3.8%, respectively. <br/>
