Video shows Southwest passengers fight aboard California flight

Video of brawling US airline passengers emerged Wednesday for the second day in a row, this time showing 2 men going at it on a Southwest Airlines flight that had just landed Sunday in Burbank, California. The grainy 22-second scene of grown men flailing, tumbling and pummelling on an airplane lingered on social media for a couple of days before breaking out onto television newscasts and news organisations' websites. The video is the latest to show flying does not always take place in the friendliest skies. The incident occurred Sunday morning as passengers were leaving Flight 2530 at Hollywood Burbank Airport after arriving from Dallas, Southwest Airlines said. One passenger was arrested, and another had minor injuries but remained on the plane as it continued to Oakland, it said.
IAG eyes Paris, Rome as bases for new LCC Level

IAG is considering Paris and Rome as potential bases for its new long-haul LCC Level, which plans to launch flights from Barcelona June 1. Level will initially operate 2 Airbus A330s from Barcelona to Los Angeles, followed by San Francisco June 2, Punta Cana June 10 and Buenos Aires June 17. The two initial aircraft, part of a batch of 5 options previously taken out with Airbus, will be in a 2-class configuration, with 21 premium economy and 293 economy seats. IAG CE Willie Walsh had already indicated Level was planning to expand to other European cities, but during the airline’s Q1 earnings call said “Rome and Paris are both under consideration [as bases] and that an announcement will be made in due course,” an IAG spokeswoman confirmed.
