Chicago O'Hare to get first regular Airbus A380 flights
For the first time, Chicago’s O’Hare airport will have regularly scheduled service on the world’s largest passenger jet. That will come May 8, when BA begins using the Airbus A380 for one of its two existing flights between Chicago O’Hare and London Heathrow. Currently, BA uses Boeing 747-400 jets for both of its Chicago-London frequencies. “The addition of the Airbus A380 for direct service from O’Hare to London is great news for travelers in Chicago and around the world,” said Ginger Evans, the Chicago Department of Aviation commissioner. The addition of the A380 to British Airways’ Chicago schedule will give O’Hare its first regular service on the superjumbo jet. The A380 has stopped at O’Hare before, but only on special or one-off flights. <br/>
