Jet Airways is all set to place a big order for more aircraft. The airline, which currently operates a fleet of 113 aircraft, has 75 Boeing 737 max aircraft on order which will start joining it from mid-2018. It is now looking at ordering at least 75 more single aisle planes. "Reflecting its confidence in the long-term prospects of the Indian aviation sector, (Jet) is in the process of evaluating adding an equal number (75) narrow-body aircraft, a decision on which will be made over the coming few months," a Jet spokesperson said. At a list price of US$110m-125m, the order is expected to be a sizeable one in terms of deal value. Boeing has long said that Jet's previous order for 75 planes is mainly for replacing its older planes and that the airline will need more planes to grow. <br/>
