Korean Air plane part may have fallen off during flight to Narita
A part of the wing of a Korean Air plane may have fallen off during a flight from South Korea's Incheon International to Japan's Narita, Japan's transport ministry said Wednesday. A one-meter long rubber tube, 4 centimetres in diameter and weighing 300 grams, was reported missing after the Boeing 777 aircraft landed at Narita Tuesday, officials at the Ministry of Land, Transport, and Tourism said. Post-flight inspection of the aircraft found that the rubber tube, located near a flap on one of the main wings, was missing. The airport briefly closed the runway to search for the part but did not find anything. A Korean Air spokeswoman said there have been no reports of any injuries and the missing part is typically not a crucial one that could seriously affect flights. <br/>
