Portland, Maine, gets new non-stop to Chicago O'Hare on American
American Airlines will connect Portland, Maine, to its hub at Chicago O'Hare. The service will begin June 7, with American’s Envoy offering two daily round-trip flights on 70-seat Bombardier CRJ-700 regional jets. American's Portland-Chicago schedule will be seasonal, running through Oct. 3. The expansion is the second for American in Portland since November. Last month, the airline said it would add regional service from Portland to New York’s LaGuardia Airport. “We are thrilled to have American Airlines make their second air service announcement in a month, growing service here at Portland,” Portland International Jetport director Paul Bradbury said. He added American’s new Chicago service “will add additional westbound capacity to our market, which has been a strategic focus of the airport to meet the business needs of our community.”<br/>
