Delta has resumed full use of the Gate Gourmet kitchen at Los Angeles International while American has resumed only partial use, after a trace of listeria was found in the kitchen in November. American said it has resumed use for some mainline domestic flights but continues to use other kitchens for international, transcontinental, Hawaii and regional flights. Delta said it is using the kitchen for all LAX flights. American suspended food deliveries from kitchen Nov 1, after a trace of listeria was found during a routine inspection by Gate Gourmet. During the next 10 days, other airlines including Delta and several international carriers followed American, suspending use of the kitchen so that Gate Gourmet could focus on completely restoring the kitchen’s health standards. No cases of listeriosis were reported. <br/>
