Korean Air workers to rise up in arms against abusive chairman family

Workers at Korean Air are preparing to hold a demonstration against the company's owners, according to sources, Monday. Over 850 of them have joined an anonymous chat room, visited by 1,000 people, to discuss ways to protest against chairman Cho Yang-ho and his family. The employees are exchanging opinions on slogans to chant and songs to sing during a street protest. They are also discussing what clothes and masks to wear to maintain anonymity. Workers are recommending to hide their faces, to protect themselves from any retaliation by the company owners. "We are expecting a backlash from the company. We will confirm the time and place after we notify our plan to the police," the chat room manager said. The airline's unions are supporting the rally. But the workers are refusing outside help.
Korean Air-Delta joint venture to boost air traffic

A planned joint venture between Korean Air and Delta Air Lines is expected to increase the number of visitors to the country via Incheon International, according to the airport and the Korean airline. It would also benefit the two airlines in forging and expanding their fight networks and sharing costs and revenues, making their operations more efficient. The joint venture will enable them to operate air routes to 290 destinations in South and North America, and 80 in Asia. The two will also conduct joint marketing and sales and coordinate international flight schedules. It would attract 400,000 additional Delta passengers transferring at Incheon Airport in 2018. This would include 50,000 Delta passengers now transferring via Narita Airport every year.
