Dallas proposes policy that could resolve Southwest-Delta dispute at Love Field

The city of Dallas has filed a motion to attempt to resolve the ongoing dispute between Southwest Airlines and Delta Air Lines concerning the use of gates at Dallas Love Field. The city, which owns the airport, proposed a new policy April 30 in a motion that would allow Delta to continue to operate its 5 flights out of Love Field for 3 years. After the 3 years ended, so sometime in 2021 if the policy is adopted this year, the city could replace Delta. "The city believes that implementation of its proposed policies and procedures will address the conflicting and complex policy goals involved with a forced accommodation and the claimed interests of the airlines," the city said in the motion. <br/>
