Asiana Airlines replaces Boeing 777 with Airbus A350 for Seattle flights

Asiana Airlines started passenger flights on its new Airbus A350-900 aircraft between Seattle and Seoul's Incheon International Tuesday. The carrier's new wide-body jet replaces the Boeing 777-200ER (extended range) aircraft that Asiana previously used on the trans-Pacific route between South Korea and Seattle-Tacoma International. Asiana took delivery of its first A350-900 in April 2017. They're the smaller version of the twin-aisle Airbus XWB (extra-wide-body) family built with carbon-fibre reinforced plastic fuselages, coming in about 23 feet shorter than the A350-1000 model, which entered into service in February. Asiana converted its final orders for the smallest A350-800 jets, which Airbus abandoned to focus on the larger members of the family, into A350-900 orders in March. <br/>
