Fastjet enhances services

Fastjet announced Monday that it will include the first item of checked luggage as well as a snack on all tickets sold. Previously, Fastjet charged all luggage and on-board snacks separately. The move follows several months of research into market trends and customer expectations with the airline exchanging its BigSaver and Achiever fares for the new-look, value product. Fastjet CE Nico Bezuidenhout said, “We have listened to our customers and redeveloped our product to better match what travellers on our network expect from a value-airline”. Beyond the re-development of our product, Fastjet is also presently working on "wider distribution and more payment methods, growing our network and making it easier for everyone to do business with us,” Bezuidenhout said.
Wizz Air was least punctual airline flying from UK last year

Wizz Air has the worst punctuality record of the busiest airlines operating from UK airports, an investigation has found. The carrier’s UK departures were an average of 23 minutes late in 2017, according to Civil Aviation Authority data. Norwegian Air Shuttle has the second-worst performance, followed by Vueling Airlines, Thomas Cook Airlines and BMI Regional. The ranking covers 44 airlines that had at least 2,000 scheduled flights from UK airports last year. A spokeswoman for Wizz Air said: “A number of issues specific to the UK, including airport infrastructure, airspace congestion and slot restrictions contribute to a significantly worse on-time performance of our UK routes compared to the rest of our network.” She said disruption was also caused by “particularly severe winter weather”.
