United Airlines is expanding brand design colour palette
United Airlines said it is introducing a new colour palette for the carrier’s uniforms, on-board meal service linens, and other aspects of the carrier’s overall brand design. United's more than 90,000 employees were informed of the new colour scheme Thursday afternoon. Per a United spokeswoman, “Our updated brand design will be reflected in our new employee uniforms, which will see a unifying base colour across all work groups that speaks to the core of the United brand.” That unifying colour is being labelled “Rhapsody Blue,” a dark navy colour named to reference United's longstanding iconic brand music, Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue.” The United spokeswoman said that new United uniforms now in development will includes “pops” of the colours in the carrier’s new colour palette. <br/>
