Qatar Airways has converted part of its order for Airbus A350s to the larger A350-1000 model. Qatar, which is the largest customer for the A350, upgraded its order to 5 of the 366-seat -1000, an order worth US$1.83b at list prices. Qatar Air, the launch customer for both A350 models, now has 42 A350-1000s on order and 34 -900s. It has 3 -1000s already in service and operates 27 -900s, according to Airbus figures. “Since taking delivery of the world’s first A350-1000 in February 2018, we have been extremely pleased with the aircraft’s performance, which has prompted us to update our original order,” Qatar Group CE Akbar Al Baker said. “The A350-1000 has been a welcome addition to our fleet and very well received by our passengers," Al Baker added. <br/>
