LOT named emerging Europe’s best airline

LOT has been named the best airline in emerging Europe by US magazine Global Traveler. It is the second year in a row that LOT has won the award, outranking rivals such as Aeroflot, Croatia Airlines and WizzAir. “It’s an important award, which attests to the fact that LOT is becoming more popular and recognisable overseas,” said a LOT spokesman. Nearly 9m passengers flew with LOT this year, more than in any previous year. The airline is targeting 10m passengers in 2019. LOT was also honoured in the Best New Air Link category for launching direct flights from New York to Budapest. <br/>
