Russia’s S7 Airlines reports traffic up 12% in 2018
S7 Airlines carried 15.96m passengers in 2018, up 12% year-over-year. Domestic traffic grew 10.5% to 11.55m; international traffic reached 4.4m, up 16% YOY. The results were as a result of a fleet renewal program, the carrier said Friday. “In 2018, S7 Airlines continued to actively upgrade its fleet. We received several new generation airplanes: 4 Airbus A320neos, an A321neo and 2 Boeing 737 MAXs. In addition, we completed developing the Embraer E170 regional aircraft fleet. This made it possible to expand the route network from the hub airports, including starting new flights from Moscow, Novosibirsk, and St. Petersburg. Last year more than 30 new flights were added to the S7 Airlines map,” S7 Group commercial director Igor Veretennikov said. <br/>
