Slovenia’s CAA halts proceedings against Adria Airways

Adria Airways said Jan 22 that the Slovenian CAA has dropped an investigation into whether it is able to fulfil the terms of its operating license. The airline said it has proven that business and financial measures have been put into place, enabling it to meet ongoing obligations and remain solvent in the long run. “The agency confirmed in several separate procedures that Adria Airways meets the technical requirements in a way that ensures aviation safety at the appropriate level,” Adria said. The airline is going through a recapitalisation, after its flight operations were hard-hit by European flight congestion and crew shortages. German owner 4K Invest injected E4m (US$4.6m) into the airline last month, to be followed by a further E10m in Q1 of 2019. <br/>
