Students, chaperones report upset stomachs on flight home from Ecuador
Thirteen teenagers and 3 chaperones returning home to the Boston area Sunday morning from a group trip to Ecuador were stricken with stomach and intestinal maladies aboard an American Airlines flight from Miami, authorities said. The group had connected with AA Flight 1201 in Miami after their journey originated in Quito, Ecuador. "No other passengers reported feeling ill. American requested paramedics to meet the aircraft upon arrival at Boston Logan,” American Airlines said. A spokeswoman for the Massachusetts Port Authority, said the afflicted were taken to Massachusetts General Hospital to be evaluated, but their complaints were believed to be minor. <br/>
