Korean Air to employ IATA Free Pass for outbound travelers

Korean Air Lines will employ the mobile travel pass of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) starting with the Los Angeles-bound KE011 flying out from Incheon in May. Korean Air Lines announced Thursday it is partnering with the IATA to trial the Travel Pass, a mobile app that helps travelers to store and manage their verified certifications for COVID-19 tests or vaccines in line with any government requirements needed to travel between certain countries. The IATA Travel Pass ensures systematic pre-departure testing to facilitate travels to countries which have reopened borders. Korean Air will begin the trial run of the Travel Pass app with the flight KE011 leaving Seoul for Los Angeles in May.<br/>
