Air Canada Saturday launched its first nonstop service between San Diego and Montreal. Flights were scheduled to operate three times weekly during the peak summer travel season with arrivals into San Diego on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, and departures on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, said Sabrina LoPiccolo of the San Diego International Airport. Turkish Airlines orders six A350-900s

Turkish Airlines has ordered six A350-900s from Airbus with delivery slots in 2022 and 2023. The carrier did not disclose any further information in its one-line investor update. The imminent delivery timings have sparked widespread speculation that six units are those not taken up by Aeroflot due to European sanctions banning the export of aircraft to Russia. The Turkish carrier's widebody fleet comprises thirteen A330-200s, thirty-seven A330-300s, six A350-900s (with twenty more - including the newly added six - on firm order), thirty-three B777-300(ER)s, and fifteen B787-9s.<br/>

Air India implements Tata Code of Conduct, bans smoking and intoxication at workplaces

Air India, a Tata Group-owned airline, has banned smoking and consumption of intoxicating substances at the workplace, implementing the Tata Group's Code of Conduct, the air carrier said. The former national airliner of India further stated that any employee violating this order will be "dealt with appropriate consequences". The ruling has been communicated by airline's Chief Human Resources Officer Suresh Dutt Tripathi. When asked about the communique issued on Wednesday, an Air India spokesperson said, "We would not like to make any comment on internal communication like this. Further, these instructions are only being reiterated." The Tata Group took over Air India on January 27 and Tata Steel veteran Tripathi took charge as the airline's CHRO in April. The CHRO's communique to employees said, "We as a responsible organisation completely prohibit smoking and consumption of any intoxicating substances at workplace. Our core principles of Tata Code of Conduct bind all of us to comply with the law of the land and to provide a safe and healthy work environment to our colleagues," he noted. Air India has zero tolerance towards violations of the above, he added.<br/>
