Air France to link Canadian capital with Europe

Air France is to open the Canadian capital Ottawa’s only non-stop link to Europe, with a service from Paris Charles de Gaulle before mid-year. Air France will commence the operation on 27 June, serving the transatlantic link five-times weekly. It will deploy 224-seat Airbus A330-200s on the route. The twinjets will be configured with a three-class layout, including 36 business-class and 21 premium-economy seats. Air France’s inclusion of Ottawa means it will operate to five Canadian destinations, among them Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver and, seasonally, Quebec City. The airline has been offering a shuttle bus service between Montreal and Ottawa, and it says this will continue with a twice-daily frequency. It also provides a similar Montreal-Quebec City connection. Air France’s Dutch partner, KLM, will be serving Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton this summer from Amsterdam.<br/>
