China Eastern Airlines 2024 net loss 4.2b yuan

China's state-owned Eastern Airlines said on Friday its net loss shrank to 4.2b yuan ($578m) in 2024 from a 8.2b-yuan loss the previous year. The Shanghai-headquartered carrier said that last year the Chinese civil aviation industry still faced significant operational pressures due to factors such as fluctuating oil prices and exchange rate volatility.<br/>
