Debris may be from missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370
There is a “high possibility” that debris found in Mozambique is from a Boeing 777 jet of the type used to operate the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, Malaysia’s transport minister said. “It is yet to be confirmed and verified,” Liow Tiong Lai said Wednesday. He said Malaysia is working with Australia to retrieve the debris for analysis. The AP cited a US official as saying debris washed up over the weekend had been tentatively identified by experts close to the investigation as a part from the same type of aircraft as the missing Flight 370. The official said the debris appeared to be the leading edge of the right-hand horizontal stabiliser of a Boeing 777. He said the part was being transported to Malaysia. The Boeing 777 in the Flight 370 case is the only known plane of the type to be missing. <br/>
