BA COO and director of people to leave
Two top executives at BA are leaving the company in the wake of a damaging pilot walkout last year and amid a transition at the carrier’s parent to a new CE. BA’s COO and its director of people are leaving the carrier after last year’s tense standoff with pilots, which led to the airline’s first strike in decades. COO Klaus Goersch and people director Angela Williams will both step down, the company confirmed. BA’s pilots reported directly to Goersch, while Williams was in charge of industrial relations. “We have made some changes in our leadership team to put us in the best possible position to deliver the next phase of our GBP6.5b customer investment, and to meet the challenges of the digital economy and changing customer needs,” BA said. <br/>
