United reveals plans for deploying its new star airplane
United's plans for the all-important rollout of the newest addition to the fleet, the Boeing 777-300ER, came into sharper focus Friday. The carrier said that new aircraft will initially fly one round-trip daily, six days a week between United's hub at Newark Liberty International Airport and San Francisco International Airport between Feb. 16 and May 4 next year. United will begin regular intercontinental service with the new plane on March 25, between San Francisco and Hong Kong. All aspects of the new service were in place as of Dec. 1, except for the new lie-flat seat pods. Those seats will debut when the new Boeing 777-300ER goes into service.<br/>
